CNBV (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores)

Definition
Mexico's banking and securities regulator. It oversees public markets and fintech licensing, but — like most regulators in the region — does not directly regulate private share transfers.
Why it matters for a secondary
Because there's no regulated private-share venue in Mexico yet, secondary transfers run entirely on contract law: the S.A.P.I.'s bylaws, not the CNBV, set the rules of the transaction.
